Welcome to our hosting page. On this page, you will be able to find out about our hosting services and see if we are the right place to host your website. Before we can setup your hosting services, you need to read this page and agree to our Terms of Use Policy, outlined in this document.

Criteria for our Hosting Services

1. Types of websites that are acceptable for our hosting services

Due to the type of Hosting Network we run, we can only accept gaming related websites for hosting. Acceptable topics include: Simulation, Strategy, RPG, First Person Shooter, News, Consoles and download sites. 

2. Language

Your site must be primarily in English. You may have translation services, as long as English is your primary language. 

3. Content

Your site should be updated on a regular basis, preferably at least every other week if it is possible to do so.

Your site must not be under construction when you apply for hosting. You can place your site under construction at any point when you are hosted by us, as long as it does not in any way breach the above clause. 

Your site may provide game-related downloads on your sites. These must be user created downloads only. Officially released downloads, such as patches, may not be mirrored on the server without permission. 

Your site must not host any copyrighted, illegal, or offensive media files, including, but not limited to, movies, MP3s, full software downloads (warez), and pornographic materials.

Terms and Conditions for Hosting

Members are required to adhere to the Terms of Use Policy as outlined below. Members must abide by these terms at all times. Certain exceptions can be made, depending on members circumstances and must be agreed in advance. These terms were updated on Monday 25th May 2009 @ 23.14 BST. 

1. Hosting Other Members

You are permitted to host other members, as long as you ensure that your hosted sites also adhere to this terms of service agreement. If you fail to ensure that your hosted sites keep to these terms may jeopardize your hosted sites and also your website as well. You remain responsible for your hosted sites at all times. 

Subdomain members may not host other websites. You must be on the domain hosting plan to have hosting privileges and to create additional domains and subdomains on your hosting account. 

Your site must remain as a gaming site and not revert to just hosting. Failure to comply to this will result in site suspension. (Please see section 2, paragraph 3 for more information.)

2. Acceptable Content

Your site must never host illegal content, such as MP3's, OGG, WMA, Werez, Bittorrent and P2P Files, Movies, Hacking Tools and Pornographic material. 

Your site must never contain any illegal or "Nulled" scripts. Our Administrators have the right to remove such scripts as needed. Your site may be suspended if your site contains scripts of this kind

Sites must remain in the topic of gaming. Any site that changes it's topic outside the realm of gaming will be suspended. If you are unsure if the topic of your site is acceptable, please contact our Technical Support Department. 

Sites must remain relatively active, adding new content and updating regularly. Exceptions will be made to this rule as needed.

3. Server Resources

Members may not run any software that causes a constant draw on the CPU. Such actions will lead to immediate suspension. 

Sites that can justify the need for more than their allocated bandwidth or disk space usage, they may request an upgrade via the Helpdesk. Upgrades will be given if your site justifies a need for more resources. Resource upgrades are free to all members. 

Your site may not adversely affect the overall performance of the server. If you severely exceed normal bandwidth, disk space, or general server usage, your site will be suspended

Members may not resell server space or server resources. If you are caught doing this, your site WILL be suspended. 

You may not use your hosting account as a portal or fileserver for another site, located on another server.

4. Spam

You may not use your hosting service to send unsolicited email. (SPAM) We take spamming very seriously and will terminate any site caught sending SPAM mail from our servers. 

5. Security

You are responsible for keeping your account secure. We suggest that you do not give your username and password to cPanel or your FTP out to anyone. If you wish to give someone FTP access, create a new account and not give out your master FTP Details. For security, we suggest you change your password regularly, either through cPanel or by requesting a password change at our helpdesk. 

Members are not allowed to have access to Shell\SSH. Members are also forbidden from using any application which runs in continually in the background on the server. You may run programs in the background, using Crontab, as long as the application does not need to be running all the time.

6. Warranty

makes no warranty of uptime, reliability or security of your data. We vow to do our best to maintain an reliable and secure server, but we request that you back up your data regularly. If you need help with this, please open a support ticket.  

Consequences of Violations to the TOS

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions may jeopardize your hosting account.

1. Minor Violations

Most minor violations will be dealt with using a warning to the member in question, either via IM or email. The member will be given 7 days to correct the issue, before we suspend that member. 

For members uploading illegal files, we will manually correct the issue, by deleting the files in question and a warning will be issued to the member in question. If the member violates this term again, we will suspend the website. 

2. Excessive server resource usage 

Members using excessive server resources will be suspended. The member will be contacted to discuss the matter and the site will be restored once the matter has been settled. 

If a member is causing the server to become unstable, due to the severe abuse of server resources, that site will be immediately terminated.

If you think your site fits our guidelines and complies with the terms and conditions for our hosting services, please click the link below to send us your application. If possible, please have a preview of your site ready, so we can see what your site is about. 

Important Note: Please don't just send us a email saying "Host Me", as these emails will be discarded. We need to know what your site is about and why you want Simgamerz to host your website. We'll host you if you can tell us what your site is about. As mentioned on the front page, we host almost any type of games site, so if you got a site that needs hosting, we need to know about it! 

Once you send us your hosting application, we will send you confirmation by email, that we have  received your application. We will then process your application and get back to you within 24 to 48 hours with a decision or a request for more details so we can process your application. Once we have accepted your site, your account will be created and a welcome email will be sent to you.
