Latest Network News

Good News!
Tuesday 26th May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

The problem with our Internet Connection has now been resolved, so the server is running at full speed once again. BT have repaired the issue with the leased line, so our server is back online! As well as this, we must apologize  for our site showing as suspended for the last 4 days. This was due to a problem with cPanel licensing, as our server was unable to not talk to the licensing server at cPanel. This issue has now been resolved, so things should now be back to near normal.

We apologize for the extremely long outages we have experienced and thank you for sticking with us.

Further Network Updates
Wednesday 27th May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

udate on the issue, which is causing our server to continually go up and down like a yoyo. The network is having issues due to a problem at British Telecom, (AKA BT) with their core pipelines, which sends data signals around the country. The problem caused widespread disruption across the North West and the Midlands for the majority of yesterday, causing loss of Internet for thousands of people. The data loss is causing major problems accross the country and causing massive outages to the Internet.

BT partially fixed the problem yesterday, until their routers connected to the core pipeline again, when another router completely died. It then was back to square one, with intermittant network outages, causing widespread chaos across the BT Network. BT say they'll get the issue fixed as soon as possible, which could be up to a week. I know this is very inconvinient and we do truely appologise for the severe disruption, which is beyond our control and the control of our Datacentre. I am not sure how intermittantly these issues will affect services on our network, as the problem is still ongoing and has yet to be resolved. In the meantime, all I can suggest is to be patient with us, as we're working with BT to get the problem sorted as soon as possible. You can also ring BT if you really want to have a moan at them. You can call them on 0800 800 151 from any non BT landline or by dialing 151 from any BT Landline.

We'll keep you posted on this issue and once again we appologise for any inconvinience caused to you.

An Update on our Status
Tuesday 26th May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

Okay, this is no longer amusing in any shape or form :-( It seems that we now have a major problem with Network Peering at our carrier, which is causing intermittent downtime on our network. (This is why the server keeps going on and offline so much today) The Datacentre have advised me that these outages may last throughout the rest of the day, meaning that the server will either be very sluggish and (or) will go offline at anytime during today.

So in the meantime, I suggest waiting a few minutes if the server is slow or is inaccessible, and try again. I've been told that the issue should be resolved by morning.

Sorry for the extreme inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience.

Extended Downtime
Tuesday 26th May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

We would like to apologize for the major network outage, which lasted throughout the night. Once again, we had problems with our backbone, which caused our server to appear offline to the outside world. unfortunately, this was way beyond the control of the Datacentre, so there was nothing we could do but "sit this one out" and wait for the powers that be much further down the data pipe, to sort the problem with the faulty router.

We are not sure how many more outages we are going to have, as it seems the problem is intermittent. We will be keeping a close eye on the issue and will be working with the NOC at our Datacentre to have this issue resolved as soon as possible.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Apologies for the Brief Outage
Monday 25th May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

We'd like to apologize for the brief outage this evening. This was caused by a fault with the IP routing table that connects us to our backbone. The server went offline at approximately 21:00hrs and was restored around 21:45 BST. The reason it took so long to get the server back online was due to the router at the other end needing to go through several system checks before the router could be automatically restarted.

Hopefully everything is working smoothly, but if you notice any problems, please do report them to us, by clicking here

Sorry for the inconvenience folks!

Hosting now open for business!
Friday 22nd May 2009 by Aaron Bennett

Our Hosting Services are now open for business, so get signing up now! Hosting is open to any gaming website, who offers cheats, reviews, information, downloads etc to gamers. All our services are free, without banner ads and restrictions. We are an unlimited host, but to ensure everyone gets their slice of resources, we give out recourses in chunks. So if you've have used your quota of disk space or transfer, you simply contact the helpdesk and then  request another chunk of disk space. Once that chunk has been used, you just need to go and request another chunk and so on. As long as you can justify your need for extra server resources, we have no issue with dishing it out.

The reason behind this "Fair Usage Policy", is to ensure that everyone gets equal amounts of resources. If you have any questions about this policy, please feel free to open a ticket at the Helpdesk and we'll do what we can to answer your question.
